1. John Philips, San Joaquin County District Attorney, introduced and asked for endorsement for re-election from the Valley Chapter.
2. Erik Schlueter, El Dorado County DA's Office, running for D.A. introduced and asked for Valley Chapter's endorsement.
3. Larry Hennick, Sgt El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, running for Sheriff, introduced and asked for Valley Chapter's endorsement.
4. Lisa Mantarro-Moore, candidate for Ceres City Council, introduced and asked for Valley Chapter's endorsement.

V. Approval of Minutes

1. Motion to accept minutes by Simpson, 2nd by Papadopoulos, Motion carried.

VI. Treasurer's Report

1. Andy Schlenker reported that we have $11,854.07 in our general account and $26,175.17 in our PAC account.
2. Motion to accept treasurers report by Papadopoulos, second by Stan Malcom, motion carried.

VII. Old Business

1. Valley Chapter Vice President position is open. Ilsa Von Leden expressed an interest in being appointed to fill the remaining term. Anybody else with an interest needs to contact President Doug Ridenour. The chapter will decide this issue at the January meeting.
2. Lisa Mantarro-Moore motion to endorse from last meeting was brought back to the floor. Mantarro-Moore had received an endorsement from Ceres POA. Motion made by Beintema to endorse Mantarro-Moore for Ceres City council. Second by Schlenker. Motion carried.
3. Motion made by Sam Malcom to endorse Dora Morenko for San Joaquin Co Board of Supervisors. This had been tabled for 30 days from last meeting. Seconded by Andy Schlenker. Motion carried.

VIII. New Business

1. Manny Cardoza requested $500 from Valley Chapter to assist Placeville POA in sending a delegate to the PORAC conference. Seconded by El Dorado DSA. Motion carried.
2. Mark Smith made a motion to endorse Alan Cassidy for Superior Court Judge in Stanislaus County. Seconded by Papadopoulos. Motion tabled for 30 days for any opposition.
3. Mark Smith made a motion to endorse James Brazelton for re-election as District Attorney of Stanislaus County. Seconded by George Papadopoulos. Motion tabled for 30 days for any opposition.
4. Bob Johnson made a motion to endorse Larry Henning for Sheriff of El Dorado County. Second by Beintema. Motion tabled for 30 days for any opposition.
5. Manny Cardoza made a motion to endorse Erik Schlueter
for El Dorado County DA. Seconded by Bob Johnson. Motion tabled for 30 days for any opposition.

IX. Reports

A. PAC/OGA:

1. Beintema reported on by-law amendments that will come up at conference. One in particular will require that 2/3rds of the PORAC e-board be line level police officers versus supervisors.
2. Over $390,000 has been donated to the NYPD fund to date. The money will go to families of peace officers killed at the World Trade Center.
3. Sam Malcom made a motion to donate $500 to the campaign of Dora Morenko. Second by Beintema. Motion carried.
4. Mark Smith made a motion to donate $250 to the campaign of Lisa Montarro-Moore. Second by Beintema. Motion carried.

B. Insurance & Benefits

1. Dave French reported that medical premiums and providers for PERS were changing.
2. Mike Cavellero is now on the I&B trust from Region I.

C. LDF:

1. Andy Schlenker discussed some proposed by-law amendments that will come up at conference for LDF regarding the Border Patrol. They want to eliminate the requirement for the one Border Patrol local that is located in California to have to become limited PORAC members. Other Border Patrol locals that aren't located in California aren't required to become limited PORAC members.
2. Andy also reported that George Yamamoto was retiring from LDF.
3. Andy reported that LDF payouts are increasing this year.

D. Service Providers:

1. Chris Miller now representing Alameda DSA.
2. Paul Goyette reported that Stuart Adams moved to Southern California but will still be working with the office on LDF cases.

E. Association Reports:

1. Fresno had lots of promotions and will be doing a lot of hiring in the coming months.
2. Stockton may be losing their utility tax. Corky Mayer made a motion for the Valley Chapter to oppose the elimination of the utility tax. Seconded by Beintema. Motion carried.

X. Good of the Association

1. Beintema encourage everybody to send in their proxy's if they were attending the conference. You can get them to anybody who is attending or to the Valley Chapter Board of Directors.
2. Bob Jarvis will be leaving PORAC as training manager.

1. November 16th, at PORAC conference in Reno
