meeting was deferred to next month.
-Paul Brown reported the current Valley Chapter balances in both the PAC and Valley Chapter accounts.

10. Legal Defense Fund (LDF) Andy Schlenker- Paul Harris reminded the membership to inform the Associations to get quotes for Life Insurance. This is a reminder that new officers tend to ignore their coverage. In recent non-in-line of duty deaths of officers, they had little or no life insurance.
-Andy discussed several issues
that LDF was involved in, including cases involving
“Qualified Immunity”, violations of the one year time statute, open
Grand Juries, and the Riders case in
There is no Region III LDF
Trustee. A special election is going
on now between Scott Frayer and Roger Stephenson.

the meeting.
-David French discussed Pers Medical having major problems.
David Mastangni Jr. discussed
several on going cases and issues he is involved in, as well as the Sacramento
County Deputy Sheriff’s Office and
-Ilsa VonLaden recommended
endorsement of Jeff Monroe for City Council in
-Chris from Stockton POA recommended and Ridenour moved and Schlenker seconded the endorsement of Ed Chavez for Mayor of Stockton. Schlenker moved and Ridenour seconded for contribution of thousand dollars to his campaign

Recommended that the Chapter endorses Gary Giovannetti for
-It was recommended by Brown to endorse Rodger Dickinson for Assembly District 9. It was moved by Brown and seconded by Schlenker.
-The membership approved all of the above with no decent.
