1. Motion to accept minutes of November meeting by Rick Daniels, 2nd by Malcom, Motion carried.
VI. Treasurer’s Report
1. Paul Brown reporting

Motion to accept by Mark Smith, second by Malcom, motion carried.
VII. Old Business
1. Motion by Paul Brown to endorse John Pagetelos for Assembly District 10 brought back up from last meeting after 30 day wait. No opposition heard. Second by Mark Smith. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Stan Malcom to endorse Baxter Dunn for San Joaquin County Sheriff brought back up from last meeting after 30 day wait. No opposition heard. Second by Paul Brown. Motion carried.
3. Motion by Stan Malcom to endorse Lynn Bedford for San Joaquin BOS, District 5, brought back up from last meeting after 30 day wait. No opposition heard. Second by Paul Brown. Motion carried.
4. Motion by Stan Malcom to donate $500 to Lynn Bedford. Second by Paul Brown. Motion carried.
VIII. New Business
1. President Ridenour announced that Vice President Dave Sousa will be setting up Chapter meetings in advance. Requested that anybody interested in hosting a Chapter meeting contact Sousa.
2. There was a discussion of a creating a web site for the Valley Chapter. The issue will be looked in to more.
IX. Reports
A. PAC/OGA:
1. Randy Beintema discussed some bills in progress. Stated things are moving slowly because of the upcoming election.
2. Rick Davis addressed the meeting. Davis is the new Training Manager for PORAC. He stated that the PORAC symposium in coming up and requested people contact him with suggestions for training.
B. Insurance & Benefits
1. Dave Mastagni spoke of the CLEA lawsuit against PORAC.
C. LDF
1. Andy Schlenker stated that LDF paid out 5.5 million dollars in 2001. Said their may be a rate increase coming this year. He also spoke of the Santa Barbara DA collecting Brady material on officers and of problems with the Police Commission in Berkeley. LDF is looking into both issues.
D. Service Providers
1. Mastagni spoke of settlements for Sacramento POA
2. Phil Jordan of RPOAC spoke of the mid-year RPOAC board meeting on April 12. Also requested that everybody remind your retiring members to join RPOAC. RPOAC’s web site be found at www.rpoac.org. Info on joining RPOAC can be found there.
3. Mike Rains is setting up an office in Sacramento.
