Mark Smith was unable to attend the meeting and we had no minutes to approve.

board endorsed Barbara Boxer. She
carried HR218 and supported it (right to carry anywhere in the
Region
II meeting to be held on
Possible
bylaw change coming up at conference regarding deputies vs. corrections
officers. Bylaws don’t adequately
address the issue if parent association doesn’t want corrections to come into
PORAC.
PORAC
building purchase – discussions how the new building would be paid for.
After some problems arose with financing, PORAC paid cash for the new
building.
Region
II is chair for conference this year in
National
Police Museum/Memorial in DC requested donation of 100K from PORAC.
Have to secure ˝ of funding in 5 years.
Will be presented at conference to make a contribution of 500K.
100k per year for 5 years.

Dave
French reported I&B met with Standard Insurance, and they are looking at
bringing in more of the administration and some claims processing to improve and
smooth out some of the processing.
