Invitation to Senator Dave Cogdale, 14th Senatorial District, re-election dinner on 04-28-05. Motion to purchase 2 tickets by Andy Schlenker, second by Paul Brown.  Total cost $400.00.  Passed unanimously.

 

Fund raising dinner for Kathleen Galgiani, 7th Assembly District, on      04-27-05, tickets are $35.00.  Motion by Jim Bock, second by Joe Schmit. Passed unanimously.

Reports          

I&B- Paul Harris provided information on a variety of plans and service options.

LDF- Andy provided information on 3 Friend of the Court Briefs as well as the financial stability of the fund.  Discussed briefly information regarding the Riders case.

Legal-David Mastagni, M.H.A.M.J&U, spoke on an Officer Involved assault case out of South Lake Tahoe.  Gary Messing, C.B.M, spoke on case of interest involving Merced Officer in a D.V.

For reasons of noise and privacy meeting was moved to the Mastagni Law Offices.

General Information Discussion: No items requiring vote.

Withdrawal of Defined Benefit-Defined Contribution, continued efforts to gather signatures to appear on possible ballot.

Prop 226. Lowering cap on political contributions.

Tazers.  Pending legislation providing restrictions on use and control of sale to private citizens.
