VI. Treasurer's report
1. Paul Brown presented report, Valley Chapter account balances: General acct - $15,320.31, PAC Acct - $31,806.71. Motion to accept report by Tracy Busby, 2nd Matt Zelinski, motion carried
VII. Old Business
1. Discussion of Chapter owned laptop computer and fax machine that was in the possession of Doug Ridenour. It was decided both were no longer needed by the Valley Chapter. Motion was made by Paul Brown to assign a value of $50 for both items and donate both to Doug Ridenour. Seconded by Tracy Busby. Motion carried.
2. Locations of chapter meetings was discussed again. It was decided to continue with the current practice of rotating the locations among various locations within the chapter area.
VIII. New Business
1. Discussion of purchasing a cell phone for the Valley Chapter so we could have a fixed phone number where people could leave messages for the chapter. The phone would remain in the possession of the President. Motion by Smith to authorize the President to enter into a deal for a cell phone with a payment of up to $60 per month to be used for cell phone subscription. Second by Paul Brown. Motion carried.

Randy discussed the State budget concerns. Also discussed legislative day at the State Capitol set for May the 7th.

New Rates are coming out.
D. Service Provider's Reports
Discussion of PORAC Labor Symposium
E. Association reports
-Calaveras DSA has a new board of directors. Also reported the got new
medical benefits outside of their contract.
-Sac POA reported that officer off for three years was given his job back
with a back pay award. Sac is also looking for a new Chief.
-Stanislaus DSA voted to go with an agency shop arrangement.
X. Good of the Association
1. PORAC Conference will be at Indian Wells on November 20 through 23.
XI. Next meeting
1. Sacramento on May 15th. The meeting was moved back one week because of a conflict with Memorial Week.
