Chase Schlenker
Almost all of you (if not all) know LDF Chair Andy Schlenker very well. Recently, the Schlenker family was dealt some very tragic news when they were informed that Chase Schlenker (Andy's grandson) was diagnosed with an extremely rare illness known as Neuro Blastoma. Chase is being tended to by the best doctors in the world at St. Jude's Childrens Hospital (Memphis) and is expected to be in the hospital for almost two years. He is currently undergoing aggressive chemo-therapy treatment.

As you can imagine, the cost of flying to and from Memphis is extremely costly, even for one trip. Over the course of the next couple years, Andy and his wife Anita will need to make countless trips to Memphis. We are asking you and your associations for assistance in making sure that Andy and Anita can be with Chase and their family as much as possible. Following, is a PDF letter drafted by PORAC President Ron Cottingham. The letter explains how you can help the Schlenkers during their time of need. Even if you are unable to provide assistance of a financial nature, we ask that you include Chase and all of the Schlenkers in your prayers.

Help the Schlenkers

As we all know, this line of work is not easy. It carries a lot of joy and fulfillment, however, it also carries pain and sadness. This section is to honor our Valley Chapter brothers and sisters who have fallen in the line of duty.
